BioScopix

BioScopix is developing an optical BioProbe system for the screening and diagnosis of human cervical cancer. A first prototype BioProbe system is planned to enter FDA trials in 2008. The successful development of the BioProbe rests upon technical advances including the ITC packaging of sensors to fit the relatively small optical imaging system of the probe. The technical advances deployed in this BioProbe system will support the future development of a BioCapsule system that, when ingested, records optical information from an individual's digestive tract. The pill, actually a complex Microsystem device, then transmits the data to an external analysis system where diagnostic information is generated concerning the disease state of GI tract tissues.

SpectalSight

SpectralSight was formed to create a miniaturized hyperspectral imaging solution for the market at a size and cost point so advantaged that it will enable new uses previously unimagined and help existing applications reach their full potential. Used in the military to detect land mines and camouflaged armor, the device has been miniaturized from a desktop-size to a golf ball-size imaging engine—enabling it to be integrated into a soldier's helmet, a special pair of glasses, a small UAV, or simply utilized in handheld operations. SensiVida

SensiVida Medical Systems Inc. provides medical products that reduce the invasiveness, labor, and cost of Allergy Testing, Glucose Monitoring, Blood Coagulation Testing, TB Testing, and Cholesterol Monitoring through miniaturization and automation. Using proprietary Microsystems technology (eleven patents filed), SensiVida's products have several unique advantages: a) tests are pain-free; b) test area is significantly reduced; (c) cycle times are rapid; (d) test results are digital, quantitative, and reproducible.
